What is a gutter supposed to do? Grab the rain sliding off the roof and dump it where it does no harm. Sounds simple. So why do so many fail? Gutters that are too small for the roof overflow in a hard rain. Gutters with the wrong slope hold standing water. Old sectional gutters leak at every seam. Hangers pull loose and the whole run sags. Downspouts empty right next to the foundation. And hail and falling branches dent and bend them, which is why gutters show up on so many storm claims. What happens when gutters fail? Water runs down the walls, soaks the ground around the foundation, washes out flower beds and even creeps in at the eaves. Because gutters are part of the roof system, we look at them every time we inspect or replace a roof. When they need replacing, we put up seamless gutters formed right at your house to fit each run, so there are no joints to leak. We size them for how much roof drains into them, set the slope so water heads to the downspouts, and aim the downspouts so roof water ends up out in the yard instead of against the house. Plenty of hangers keep each run from sagging.
